I really love WordPress.com. After all, they’ve provided me with a powerful and easy-to-use blogging platform…for free! But, I’ve always felt limited by the reasonable restrictions imposed on my blog. No embedded videos, no plug-ins allowed, etc.

I’ve decided to move to my own domain so that I can provide features that will improve my readers’ experience. For instance, I’ve just implemented LightBox. Just click on a thumbnail on my new blog, and you’ll be literally treated to a new way of looking at things.

So I bid thee adieu WordPress! Be glad to know you’ve helped another blogger flourish. Say goodbye to fool45.wordpress.com, and welcome www.fool45.com!

No no, not what you think. This week has seen my discovery of successful-blog.com, a wonderful blog where Liz Strauss gives great tips with a decidedly feminine touch. Here I am, simply joining the engaging comment discussions; suddenly I find myself awarded as a “Successful and Outstanding Blogger”!

Thanks Liz! I can’t display this honor on the header or sidebar right now (WordPress hosting restrictions) but once I move to fool45.com, I shall.

The best thing I like about blogging is all the giving going around: Jayvee pointed me to my pro blog gig, I get great tips from Liz Strauss, and good friends like The Parodist help me out with writing.

Seriously though, even if you aren’t a fan of Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter, you still might find this flash animation by Proxicide enjoyable. But before you click on that link, I must apologize for the…

• Long loading time. The animation is 5MB, so please be patient.
• “Story.” I know Proxicide wanted to create some atmosphere, to draw the viewer in, but the prologue is pretty superfluous. Luckily, you can skip it.

My dad recently came from Tuguegarao to participate in a young leaders’ congress. I really want to buy him a nice camera, since like Jayvee, he likes to point and shoot a lot. My mom likes to roll her eyes when dad gets into photographer mode.

The picture he took of Callao Caves is apparently full of bats. A LOT of bats.

And here in the Philippines, there’s still a lot of unspoiled nature.
